Established in 2024, we go beyond merely being a company; we are a dedicated team committed to making off-grid living a feasible and enjoyable reality for every Australian homeowner.

Our Journey

Matt Scott, alongside his family, embarked on a transformative journey, living off-grid for over a year across the breathtaking expanse of Australia, including the remote reaches of Cape York. Throughout 2022 and 2023, their caravan became more than just a means of travel; it was a mobile testament to self-sufficiency. This immersive experience highlighted the profound benefits and unique trials of sustainable living.

Equipped with 1000w of rooftop solar panels and an additional portable solar blanket, their setup enabled extensive free-camping. A powerful 2200w inverter facilitated the use of everyday 240v appliances, and a substantial 600-amp lithium battery bank ensured they never needed a generator. For water, their caravan held almost 400 liters across four tanks, with a carbon filter to keep every drop clean and safe. A Nature’s Head composting toilet allowed them to manage waste efficiently and environmentally, extending disposal intervals to weeks rather than days.

These lessons in resilience, independence, and eco-conscious living inspired Matt's passion for off-grid solutions. He created Eco Off Grid to empower others in making greener choices that benefit both their lifestyle and the planet.
